Who we work with

A Toronto partner for movers, forwarders and RMCs

Most agents in the GTA subcontract the packing, the trucking or the warehouse. We own all three, which is why the survey report, the loading photos and the POD come from the same people who did the work.

  • International movers & van lines

IAM members abroad who need a Toronto agent to survey, pack, load and clear their clients' moves into and out of the GTA — with the reporting your own client expects from you.

  • Relocation management companies

RMCs and corporate HR moving assignees to Toronto: destination services, storage in transit, transferee communication and status updates on your schedule.

  • Freight forwarders & NVOCCs

Household-goods consolidations that need a receiving dock, devanning, customs coordination and last-mile delivery in Southern Ontario — or a loading agent for outbound groupage.

  • Canadian movers outside Ontario

Origin or destination service in the GTA for your long-distance and international bookings, on your tariff, with photos and a POD the same day.

Origin services · out of the GTA

Origin agent: survey to sailed, under your flag

You book the move; we are your hands in Toronto. From the first survey to the CERS declaration, every step happens on our own staff and equipment, is photographed, and is reported back to you in time to keep your client informed — as if your own branch did the work.

FCL, LCL, groupage or road: the mode changes the paperwork, not the standard. Lift vans and crates are built in-house, containers load at our dock or the residence, and the same coordinator owns the file until the box is gated in.

  • Pre-move survey — on your paper or ours

In-home for houses, video for condos. You get a cube sheet and a written survey report right after the survey: itemized volume, packing materials required, crating candidates, access notes and shuttle risk. If your company uses its own survey form or app, we work on yours.

  • Export packing to IAM standard

Our own employed crews — not casual labour — pack with export cartons, paper and blankets sized for an ocean transit. Descriptive and bingo-sheet inventories as your trade lane requires, high-value inventory on request, and every job photographed as it is packed.

  • Crating and lift vans built in-house

ISPM-15 certified wood, cut and built on our warehouse floor: felt-lined TV and art crates, marble and glass crates, and plywood or tri-wall lift vans sized to the shipment. Vehicle and motorcycle blocking and bracing for containerized shipment.

  • FCL loading at our own dock — or at the residence

Containers drayed in on our own tractors and loaded by the crew that packed the goods. Blocked, braced, photographed before the doors close; the seal number, tally and load report go to you the same day. VGM handled, CERS export declaration filed in-house.

  • Drayage, rail and port on our own equipment

We run commercial container drayage daily, so your household-goods box rides the same dispatch: CN Brampton and CPKC Vaughan for rail to Montreal, Halifax and Vancouver sailings, cut-offs tracked by dispatchers who manage them constantly.

  • Storage in transit and groupage consolidation

Racked and floor SIT at our North York warehouse on weekly or monthly billing, and a loading floor where your lane's groupage consolidates — lift vans and skids labelled with your reference, held until the container fills.

Destination services · into the GTA

Destination agent: released, delivered, reported

Your container lands in Montreal, Halifax or Vancouver and rails into the GTA; your groupage arrives at a deconsolidation warehouse. From that moment the clock runs — free time, per-diem, a transferee waiting in a furnished apartment. Destination work is a timing job, and we run it with the same dispatch desk that moves commercial containers every day.

The transferee deals with a named coordinator; you get the paper. Customs file prepared before the vessel docks, collection booked for the day of release, delivery scheduled around the household — and the POD in your inbox before their first night's sleep in the new home.

An inbound shipment at the doors: counted against the origin inventory, exceptions photographed.
  • Terminal and port collection on our own tractors

Containers collected at CN Brampton, CPKC Vaughan, the Port of Toronto and the Port of Hamilton on our own tractors and chassis; LCL and lift vans picked up at the deconsolidation warehouse. Free time and per-diem are watched from the day of release.

  • Customs coordination, timed to the transferee

We prepare the file with the transferee — passport, immigration status, BSF186 / BSF186A goods-to-follow declaration and the inventory — and coordinate release with a licensed broker (yours or ours). Collection is timed to the arrival so the container never sits on demurrage waiting for a signature.

  • Receiving and devanning with exception reporting

Devanned at our dock by our own crews, counted against the origin inventory, exceptions photographed and reported to you as the freight is received. Lift vans and groupage received the same way, piece by piece against your manifest.

  • Delivery, unpacking and debris — no subcontracted last mile

Liftgate straight trucks and our own uniformed crews deliver across the GTA and Southern Ontario: placement, unpacking, furniture assembly, debris and crate removal on the same visit. Third-party services — piano and safe handling, appliance hook-up, handyman — arranged on request.

  • Storage in transit until the residence is ready

When the lease starts late or the closing slips, the shipment moves into racked storage at our warehouse after clearance and delivers on the transferee's date — one handling charge, storage billed by the week or month, no re-receiving fee.

  • Same-day POD and agent-grade reporting

Proof of delivery and a delivery report the day the job closes, claims-ready photos at every hand-off, status updates on the schedule you set, and one itemized invoice in CAD or USD. Your client hears from you, not from us — we work under your flag.

FAQ

Agent services: frequently asked questions

Where can we see your rates?
Three ways. Our Toronto origin and destination tariff is published on MoversPOE, so IAM agents can pull it instantly. Container-only moves price on the spot with the instant calculator on our container drayage page. And anything bespoke — shuttles, special items, out-of-zone addresses — is tariffed by email as soon as possible.
Are you a licensed customs broker?
No. We coordinate the release with licensed customs brokers, prepare the documents with the transferee, and receive the shipment at our dock the day it is released. If you have a preferred broker in Canada we work with them.
Is your warehouse bonded?
No — it is an ambient, non-bonded facility. Inbound shipments must be customs-released before or on arrival; storage in transit after release is at our North York warehouse.
Do you handle air freight?
We do not book air freight. Cleared air consignments can be collected from the Pearson cargo area — about 20 minutes from our warehouse — for delivery in the GTA.
Which terminals and ports do you collect from?
CN Brampton Intermodal Terminal (BIT), CPKC Vaughan Intermodal Terminal, CN Malport Intermodal, Port of Toronto, Port of Hamilton (HOPA). Containers railed from Montreal, Halifax or Vancouver are collected at the GTA terminals on our own tractors and chassis.
What is your tariff basis?
Origin and destination services are quoted per cubic foot or cubic metre with accessorials listed — stairs, elevators, long carries, shuttles, crating, storage per month. Agent-to-agent terms, invoiced in CAD or USD. Our IAM Receivable Protection Program coverage applies to agent transactions.
How quickly do you respond?
During business hours, as soon as we can: tariffs, survey reports, exception reports and the POD all move as a priority, because your client is waiting on them like ours are.
What does the transferee need for Canadian customs?
Passport and immigration status (work permit, study permit, permanent residence or Canadian citizenship), a list of goods to follow declared on arrival (BSF186 / BSF186A), and the shipment inventory. The transferee must have arrived in Canada before the shipment can be released; we time the collection around it.
Do you cover all of Ontario?
Daily across the GTA & Southern Ontario — Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Vaughan, Concord and the rest of the region on scheduled runs. Outside Southern Ontario we can recommend partner agents.
